DofE Glasgow Opportunities 2024-2025

Expedition Section

DofE Glasgow Gold Expedition Opportunities which take place in Scotland  on the below list are funded up to £250. Young people will be prioritised where they face challenges, including those with additional needs, at risk, receiving Free School Meals (FSM), eligible for Pupil Premium (PP), Pupil Equity Funding, or the 16-19 Bursary, at risk of exclusion from education, looked after or in care, responsible for caring for someone else, parents under 18, whose first language is not English, Welsh or Gaelic, asylum seekers, refugees, or young people in custody.  If you are not covered by this description but believe that you should receive this funding then you are very welcome to apply where your centre has 4 or less young people taking part in Gold level or where you have missed out on a Gold Expedition, your request will be considered.

Please book onto the expedition of your choice and then email Viki Williams to confirm whether your place will be funded. Please note there is also funding available for centres to assist in the running of Gold Expeditions as well, they should apply for this directly.

Residential Section

DofE Glasgow Gold Residential Opportunities are funded up to £250. Young people will be prioritised where they face challenges, including those with additional needs, at risk, receiving Free School Meals (FSM), eligible for Pupil Premium (PP), Pupil Equity Funding, or the 16-19 Bursary, at risk of exclusion from education, looked after or in care, responsible for caring for someone else, parents under 18, whose first language is not English, Welsh or Gaelic, asylum seekers, refugees, or young people in custody.  t If you are not covered by this description but believe that you should receive this funding then you are very welcome to apply. Residentials which are not on the listed will also be covered to the same cost provided they will fulfil the requirements of the residential section. Please book onto the residential of your choice and then email Viki Williams to confirm whether your place will be funded. 

Our Glasgow City Council, Outdoor Education Centre Oppurtunities can be found on BLairvadach's website here and you can sign up here using the booking form for these oppurtunities if you are registered with DofE Glasgow your place will be automatically fully funded and you do not need to apply for funding using the form.
